Iván Villaquira - Washed Catuai
Our latest single origin from Colombia to suit both espresso and filter style brewing methods. This coffee highlights sweetness and citrus fruit.
From the high-altitude farms of La Argentina, Huila, Colombia, this Washed Catuai is the result of Iván Villaquira’s dedication to excellence. Nestled at 1,950m above sea level, his farm, Finca Villa Alejandría, benefits from a cool climate and nutrient-rich soil, allowing coffee cherries to develop exceptional sweetness and depth.
Once the cherries reach a peak ripeness they are carefully processed by precision fermentation to highlight the natural complexity of the Catuai.
😋 Flavour Notes:
Expect a bright and complex cup with vibrant citrus and stone fruit notes, perfectly complemented by deep chocolate undertones. The balanced acidity and smooth body make it a versatile delight, whether brewed as espresso or filter. Lime, black tea, tropical yellow fruits and nectarine.
